Trouble with shelter kittens?

I adopted 2 kittens from a shelter. they ended up being very sickly, one even died. The vet claims they had some type of respiratory infection. He gave them Lysine treats. Its been 1 week now and the kitten is not getting better. It sneezes and sounds very congested. What other medicine should I ask for?
