In which area do mechanical engineering have the scope?

I am a mechanical engineering B.E. student of 5 th semester, i would like to know which are the future regions in which this branch have the scope? what i mean is, whether to go for M.Tech.or to take software courses like catia,proE,ANSIs,hyper mesh,auto cad or to choose other areas like thermal engineering. Please suggest me.
