Do you think affirmative action is a good program or just another form of racism?

From what I've seen it just causes people to look at minorities and think "you only got your job because you're a minority you're not actually smart enough to get it on your own". Do you think that affirmative action is actually creating more racism as white people resent being ped up because of their race?
